KOMEG Battery Testing Chambers

Charge-discharge tests of automotive secondary batteries have problems of being unable to perform accurate evaluation and having differences in environment temperature due to high heating of the battery during high input-output characteristic measurement and increased heat generation caused by battery degradation during long cycle and life testing.

In addition, when charge-discharge testing several batteries installed in the test area at the same time, deviations in temperature uniformity and heat generation of a battery to be cause of changes in the heat history of the batteries, thereby hindering correct evaluation.

In an effort to solve these problems, KOMEG applied its long-cultivated environment control technology to develop the Advanced Battery Chamber (precision temperature control chamber) with multi-area temperature control.

 
Battery test chamber is designed to test Lithium Ion batteries, lead acid, Battery Managements Systems (BMS), battery packs, modules, battery cells,etc.

It can simulate extreme environmental conditions encountered in battery storage, shipping and end-use,such as low or high temperatures, humidity changes, vibration changes, and altitude changes.

It is widely used in telecommunications, computer and automotive industries .

Explosion Proof Fire Suppression System Spray device:The sprinkler device is built in the top of the inner box test area. When the battery surface temperature is much higher than the predetermined temperature value, the battery pack smokes or catches fire, the sprinkler device will automatically open, and the water pressure can be adjusted from 0.4-0.6MPa.
Gas monitor:Detect by continuously drawing air samples in the box. When the generated H2, CO, CHx reaches a certain concentration or set value, the gas monitoring system will activate the sound and light alarm and interrupt the test and equipment.
Pressure relief vent:The pressure relief port is located at the top. When the pressure in the equipment or pipeline exceeds the pressure of the safety valve, the pressure relief is automatically opened.
CO2 fire extinguisher:Automatic fire extinguishing and automatic shutdown of the machine to protect the equipment from burning
Electric smoke exhaust system:When the test sample produces harmful gas, ventilate and exhaust internally
