Stable Lead Time ESS Thermal Cycling Chamber for PV Module Testing
1. ESS Solar Panel Test Chamber Overviews:
Temperature adaptability test under the condition of rapid change, or gradient for electrical, electronic, instruments and other products or spare parts, particularly applies to environmental stress screening test (ESS)
Environmental stress screening (ESS) refers to the process of exposing a newly manufactured or repaired product or component (typically electronic) to stresses such as thermal cycling and vibration in order to force latent defects to manifest themselves by permanent or catastrophic failure during the screening process. The surviving population, upon completion of screening, can be assumed to have higher reliability than a similar unscreened population.
ESS can be performed as part of the manufacturing process or it can be used in new product qualification testing.

3. ESS Test Chambers Application on Solar Panel PV Module Industrial:
Solar Panel Test Conditions is as below:
Thermal Cycle Test Profile
Suggested Test Profile:
Step 1: Ramp from ambient to -40 ºC (100 ºC/hr max on the module, or 39 minutes) (UL ramp is air temp.)
Step 2:Hold -40 ºC for 10 minutes minimum (±2 ºC)
Step 3: Ramp to 85 ºC (100 ºC/hr max on the module, or 75 minutes) (UL 90 ºC, the ramp is air temp.)
Step 4: Hold at 85 ºC for 10 minutes minimum (±2 ºC) (UL 90ºC)
Step 5: Ramp to 23 ºC(100 ºC/hr max on the module, or 36 minutes) (UL ramp is air temp.)
Step 6: Go to step 1. Cycle 50 or 200 times. (UL 200 times)
Testing time:
Note: Total time per cycle is not to exceed six hours.
Fastest cycle time is 170 minutes/2.8hours (ramping at 100 ºC/hr)
Slowest cycle time is 360 minutes/6hours (ramping at 44 ºC/hr)
Total test time: Maximum ramp rate: 6 days or 24 hours.
Humidity-Freeze Test Profile
Suggested test profile:
Step 1: Ramp from ambient to 85 ºC/85%(100 ºC/hr max on the module, 36 minutes)
Step 2: Hold 85/85 for 20 hours minimum (±2 ºC, ±5%)
Step 3: Turn off humidity control. Ramp to 0 ºC (100 ºC/hr max on the module, 51 minutes)
Step 4: Ramp to -40 ºC (200 ºC/hr max on the module, 12 minutes)
Step 5: Hold -40 for 0.5 hours (±2 ºC, 30 minutes)
Step 6: Ramp to 0 ºC (200 ºC/hr max on the module, 12 minutes)
Step 7: Ramp to 23 ºC(100 ºC/hr max on the module, 51 minutes)
Step 8: Go to step 2. End test after ten cycles.
Note:
The maximum total time for steps 3 to 7, plus step 1, is four hours.
The minimum time possible is 156 minutes or 2.6 hours.
Total test time: 9.4 - 10 days
